Burial Jar

'Burial Jar' is the first solo show of Brazilian artist Aun Helden in Italy.

On the inauguration evening of Friday September 26, Aun Helden performed the 6th chapter of her iconic 'Réquiem' Series. The performance is hold in dialogue with Berlin based artist Dan Su who activated their Mobile Grief Temple [TF2.0].

Following the understanding that a burial jar is a container that carries a remaining of physical evidence of death, the performance will fulfill the cavity of the gallery space with a spiritual concept of death defining the whole gallery space as a burial jar.

The aftermath of 'Réquiem No.6' as well as relics of the past 'Réquiem' performances are on view accompanied by a new series of photographic self portraits.
The third room of the gallery served as a sound chamber during the 'Réquiem No. 6' Performance and then lasted as an installation by Dan Su. 

'Burial Jar' is a multi-layered exhibition enlightened by the spirit of performance art.
