Flavio Degen

Flavio Degen’s oeuvre focuses on themes as perception, reconfiguration, reality and fiction. The Berlin-born artist interweaves material production with web-based resources drawn from social media, advertisements, movies and documentaries, mixed with his personal camera archive. His work underlines  loss of distinction between real and representation of reality and emphasizes blurred boundaries among context,  questioning the individual ability to portray identity as a fixed entity.
